The 2024 issue
This is the 6th documented standard Black Flag release. Coin facts and the reverse depiction are presented separately from the historical record behind the subject.
The reverse depicts Kingston approaching a tropical coastline beneath a pirate flag, with a skull shape on the horizon. Lucas Bowers is credited with the reverse design.
The published figure is a maximum of 15,000; no final declared total is shown.
History & legend
John Rackham and Anne Bonny sailed together in the Caribbean before their crew was captured in 1720. Rackham was executed; Bonny's later fate is not securely documented. The coin associates the pair with the merchant ship Kingston captured by Rackham's crew. Much popular writing about Bonny depends on later narrative sources whose accuracy is debated. The page separates the documented 1720 capture from romanticized retellings.

Design story
The coin presents Kingston approaching a tropical coastline beneath a pirate flag, with a skull shape on the horizon. The BLACK FLAG inscription, named subject, silver legend and P mintmark identify the release. Lucas Bowers is credited with the reverse design.
