Canada’s free-ranging horse populations are not one uniform wild species. Sable Island’s naturalized horses, descended from animals introduced in the 1700s, live in overlapping family bands across a windswept dune landscape.
REVERSE DESIGN
Reading the Wild Horse reverse
The head faces slightly down and left while the mane streams in long, separated ribbons. A polished eye and muzzle anchor the portrait against the directional texture of the hair.
