A circulating design program becomes monumental silver

The 2008 authorizing law paired the America the Beautiful quarter program with five-ounce, three-inch silver coins carrying the same designs.

Bullion versions entered the investment channel, while burnished uncirculated collector coins carried a P mint mark and Mint packaging.
