THE ISSUE
The first release establishes Predator as a land-mammal sequence. The cougar’s body travels across the field, but its head reverses the motion and confronts the viewer.
REVERSE DESIGN
Damstra places the animal low and long across the reverse. Open jaws, swept whiskers and planted forelimbs sharpen the sense of an advance already in progress.

Emily Damstra designed the reverse. Susanna Blunt designed the obverse portrait.
OBVERSE
Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II faces right. ELIZABETH II and D·G·REGINA encircle the portrait, with the five-dollar denomination and year below.

Puma concolor ranges across the Americas. Its long tail, muscular shoulders and compact head give the reverse a recognisable cougar profile.
