ABOUT THE SERIES
Four hunters, four kinds of forward motion
Predator followed the Mint’s earlier Birds of Prey sequence with four land mammals released from 2016 through 2019.
The common format holds the group together: one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver, a five-dollar denomination, Susanna Blunt’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and precision radial fields. Each reverse changes the encounter—from the cougar’s angled advance to the grizzly’s heavy charge.
RELEASE CHRONOLOGY

The sequence opened with the Cougar in 2016 and concluded with the Grizzly in 2019.

ARTISTS & ENGRAVING
Natural history drawn for radial fields
Emily Damstra designed the animal reverses. Susanna Blunt’s uncrowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on every obverse. The Wolf also carries an engraving credit to Nathalie Lagacé in specialist catalogue records.
“Damstra’s animals are identified through posture and anatomy as much as portraiture: every body is arranged to push across or toward the circular field.

SECURITY
Lines, light and a dated maple leaf
